The Painter

Oscar is a painter who lives in a small village called Hyutt. He owns a small grocery store, and in his free time, he enjoys painting. Most of his paintings depict breathtaking landscapes, beautiful places, and people who exist only in his imagination. Over the years, he has completed around 25 to 30 paintings. Oscar was born and raised in Hyutt and had never traveled beyond his village. One day, his mother fell seriously ill. The medicine required for her treatment was available only at Victoris Hospital, located far from Hyutt. With no other choice, Oscar boarded a bus to make the journey. For the first part of the trip, every landscape, road, and village he passed was completely new to him. However, everything changed after the bus crossed the border of the neighboring village, Esta. To Oscar’s utter shock, every place beyond Esta looked strangely familiar. The streets, the buildings, the hills, and even the people he saw were exactly as he had painted them years before—despite never having visited any of those places. It was as if he had unknowingly been painting a world he had never seen.
